Filmed by Silas specializes in crafting cinematic storylines and preserving once in a lifetime moments through stunning photography and videography.

Launched in 2023, Filmed by Silas is a full-service photography and videography service providing exceptional cinematic photo and video services to businesses, families, and couples alike to capture timeless moments and share stories of the time.

They had an existing Squarespace website and were seeking enhanced traffic, a sharper brand design, and page redesign to add a professional touch.

Every website page was restructured, and content was redistributed and reformatted to add a cohesive design throughout the pages. SEO was applied throughout the entire site, boosting traffic fourfold within the first week post re-launch.

With the broad scope of what Filmed by Silas has to offer, the brand identity updates (specifically to the brand’s color scheme) were rooted in their photos. With many inspired and taken in natural settings, it seemed fitting to create an identity that would mirror and complement their gallery.

The dynamic nature of Filmed by Silas’ business posed a unique opportunity to create a brand that could align with both the business realm, and that of lifestyle and family.

The core colours used in Filmed by Silas’ custom branding were inspired from his portfolio of business videography as well as family photography sessions. The core colours of Royal Blue and Forest Green represented the natural colours found in many of Silas’ gallery, and ensured they would align with the gallery they would be offsetting.

The colours and overall theme selected were a bold take on this natural effect, to ensure professionalism and technical aptitude would still be sensed throughout the website. The result: A cohesive and professional brand design that aligns with the clients offerings.
