What is a Squarespace Design Day?

A design day is an exclusive opportunity to work directly with a Squarespace designer (me!) to transform your site. With 8-hours of my UNDIVIDED attention, I’ll take care of your web design to-do list. By the end of the day, you’ll have a more attractive website that will get way better results for your business.

Is 8 hours really* enough time to get through everything on my list?*

Although every Squarespace Design Day is unique to each business, 8 hours almost always serves as enough time to complete all of the changes & improvements you can think of for your site!

Prior to the design day, I take the time to review your site and offer suggestions before your design day arrives. This way, your list will be as complete as possible, I'll have an idea of what changes are most important to you, and I'll have a full understanding of your site before working on it.

What do I need to prepare before the Design Day?

To ensure our day together is as productive as possible, I advise that you provide your content (website copy, images, fonts, etc.) before the Design Day. I'll also ask you to share a final to-do list of web design edits in order of importance with me before the Design Day arrives.

And don't worry! We'll discuss all of this during our Strategy Call!

Do I have to be available for the whole day?

Nope! Only every couple of hours to check your emails and provide quick feedback on the changes applied. Get ready to have your most productive work day yet – while you spend time doing what you love!

What if we run out of time?

I’ll always be transparent about what we can get done in a day and keep you in the loop on progress throughout through email. If we need more time? No worries! We can always add an additional day or half day to finish up what’s left (with a 25% discount for any additional day booked!).

What if I have a lot changes I want to apply to my site?

I hear you! For major changes that would take longer than one day, I highly recommend my Squarespace Website Redesign package - it offers the complete redesign of your site within 2 weeks, PLUS one month of SEO analysis.

What if we’re in different time zones, how does that work?

Although I’m based in Canada, I work with clients all over the world. Depending on the difference in time zone, we can split the design day into two half days to make it work well!

What is the process for a Squarespace Design Day?

Stage 1: Booking & Planning

After you reach out and we pick a day, we’ll begin prepping! In addition to your Design Day, we’ll also schedule a Strategy Call ahead of time to discuss in detail your goals for the design day and how we can make your website work better to achieve your business goals. After the call, you’ll be guided through gathering your content and creating a to-do list for the day of. In the meantime, I’ll review your current site, and provide some design & content ideas to help with brainstorming any extra to-do’s you may not have thought of!

Stage 2: Design Day

On your design day, we’ll meet first thing to say hi and review the tasks we’ve set out for the day. I’ll work intentionally and efficiently through list we’ve created to maximize the Design Day and apply the changes to your live site. Throughout the day, I’ll connect with you through email to ask for live feedback on specific page changes and will make adjustments to ensure the changes align with your vision and goals. For 8 hours, you’ll have a Squarespace Designer as your partner to create a website that will work harder for you and that you can proudly share with your clients!

Stage 3: Support

I sincerely care that my clients get the most out of their websites. So, for two full weeks after our Design Day you can reach out with questions that come up and I’ll respond with answers and relevant trainings or tutorials that would help! With a professionally redesigned site and the feedback of a Squarespace Designer, you can be assured that your site will attract more of the right clients and get you the results you’re seeking!

Will I get support after my Design Day?

You bet! I'll be available to support you for 2 weeks after the Design Day to answer questions about the work completed and provide resources that would be helpful.
